How To Avoid The Wrath Of God? - Raising Zion

The wrath of God is the worst thing that could ever happen to man. Just like the love of the Father, which is the best a man can get. We know someone who is already in line to receive everlasting wrath – Satan.

What did Israel do to receive God’s wrath?

1. Went after strange gods
2. Did repulsive acts
3. Sacrifices to demons,
4. Sacrifice to unknown gods
5. and new age gods
6. Unmindful and forgot Him
(Deuteronomy 32:15-20)

How are we opening ourselves to the wrath of God?

Anything we give more importance to more than God is a strange god. It could be family, career or possessions.

When we do anything God hates (Proverbs 6:16-19), we are positioned to receive a terrible end unless we repent.

Is our lips praising and thanking God or worldliness and vanity? Are we constantly talking about perishing things of this life, glorifying people and things of this world?

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. (Hebrews 13:15)

Are we living in obscurity? Talking about invisible forces. Clueless about God’s existence even after having known God.

We have new gurus and “spiritual” speakers popping up in every nook and corner of the world. Let’s not be distracted by their eloquence or subtlety. Satan often presents himself as the angel of light.

For such men are counterfeit apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, since Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. So it is no great surprise if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness, but their end will correspond with their deeds. (1 Corinthians 11:13-15)

We need to be mindful of God’s will concerning our lives everyday. Otherwise we will forget Him. We need the mind of Jesus, who did the perfect will of God. When we have the mind of Jesus, we will become just like Him when He appears in His eternal glory.

Maranatha, praise God and amen!
