Let me inform you that there are many false channels today in our world that have positioned themselves as the true channel. You must beware of these evil platforms. Jesus said very clearly that He’s the only way to God and He’s the only good Shepherd (John 10:11).

4 steps to connect with God spiritually

Now let’s get back to the post on how to connect with God Spiritually in order to develop adequately. The following are the steps:

1. You must become born again

If you’re yet to become born again, you must take this step. Jesus says, “Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God (John 3:5).

You can’t be truly spiritual as God wants it if you’re not reborn spiritually. The only way to be reborn spiritually is contained in that statement from Jesus to that religious leader in those days. God is Spirit and those who must relate with Him must do that in the spirit.

Getting born again is the foundational requirement for your desire to connect with God spiritually.

2. You need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit

You need the baptism in the Holy Spirit if you must always connect with God spiritually. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2:11, “Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God”.

It’s great if you know the mind of God, that’s a great way to always connect with God spiritually. God’s Spirit in you will always tell you the mind of God. That’s the relevance of God’s Spirit to you.

3. you need God’s Word

God’s Word is invaluable. This is the reason why God inspired His men to write books in those days in the first place. God wanted a universal and sure standard that you can always use to maintain your connection to Him.

God’s Word is useful. You can’t truly succeed without being addicted to God’s Word. You must study and meditate on God’s Word as we have it in the bible. It should be more precious to you than the physical food you eat!

Yes, that’s how important the Word of God is in your desire to connect with God spiritually.

4. You need to be praying

Don’t forget the connection that the prayer platform gives you. I’ve seen many Christians who don’t really see the necessity for this and I must confess this should be a worrisome development.

The prayer platform represents a great way for Christians to stamp their authorities which was already given to us by Jesus over the rulers of darkness. The prayer platform is the victory platform but when Christians are not praying, there’s a problem.

Apart from the fact that the prayer platform is a victory platform, it’s also one of the avenues God gave us to connect with Him spiritually. Jesus used it severally in His ministry. He had many nights when He stayed awake all night to pray to God, the Father (Luke 6:12).

He showed us that the prayer platform is His connection platform with God, the Father. Jesus is our role example.

When you talk to God, God will talk to you. When you talk to God, God will be more interested in talking to you. You’ll be improving the relationship between you and God when you are always on your knees praying. He advised us in His Word to pray without ceasing.
