How to Find Favour Before God And Man - Raising Zion
As believers, we seek peace. We are peacemakers. It is the new nature we have transformed into by God’s grace. Our goal daily is to give our best each day. Make sure God is pleased. Also, the people in our lives are happy with us.
We believe God alone is good.
Every human needs to be loved like Jesus loves us.
How to find favour in the sight of God and man?
King Solomon shares 3 points. Essentially two, but the third requires emphasis.
3 ways to find favour before God and man?
- Be merciful
- Be truthful
- Desire with all your heart the above two
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
Proverbs 3:3-4
God showed us mercy on the cross of Calvary. He took our sins away and put them on Jesus. The precious blood of Jesus set us free. We remain forgiven because of staying repentant and obedient to His call. It is our turn to love others and forgive all those who may go against us. When we forgive, God forgives us. God is pleased when we forgive others as He did us. A man who receives forgiveness will be ever grateful.
The truth sets us free. Only truth can build trust.
Nothing can go against the Truth.
The world was created in Truth by the Truth. Stick to the prescribed design when you surrender your spirit, soul and body for the work that needs to get done. God hated lies. So should we.
As long as we are in this body, our hearts continue to face battles. Guard your heart with the word of Truth. Everything we say and do is an outcome of what we’ve allowed into our hearts. Let love be the source of all our expression. It is only possible through the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5).
