Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

-Romans 12:15, KJV

I am grateful for the pets in my life. We have a full house of birds and lizards at the present. They bring such joy and laughter to our hearts!

Years ago while I was going through my divorce, I had a cat named Mr. Pickles. He was a life-saver. His loving presence helped me through some of the darkest days of my life.

More recently, I have become the owner of parrots. In particular, I have become the buddy to a Jardine parrot, Loki. He has quite the personality!

One of things that brings me the most delight and joy being Loki’s person is the way he laughs. My bird buddy will laugh with me as I watch a comedy show. It is amazing how he follows social ques and joins in the fun. It warms my heart.

This joy is one of many joys I never would have experienced if I had not divorced my Cheater. You see, Loki came into my life because of Mrs. DM. She is the bird lover who got me hooked on these feathered creatures. I am so grateful for them now!

How about you? Do you have a pet that brings you joy and comfort?
