Love is More Than a Feeling, It's a Choice - A Nighttime Prayer

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” —John 13:34-35 (NIV)

Please Pray:

Dear God, basing our love on faith and not someone’s actions is difficult. It can be so hard to love those who hurt us or cause us harm. Please show us how to love these people in our lives, and help them to see you through us. When we’re tempted to replace evil with evil, remind us that loving others, period, is how we’re called to respond. Because love is more than a feeling, it’s a powerful and needed choice. We love, praise, and thank you, Jesus. Amen.
