New Jerusalem has the Glory of God

The work of the Lord in the flow of life issues in the expression of the Triune God, which is the expression of the New Jerusalem. The holy city has the glory of the Triune God, which is His radiant expression (Rev. 21:11).*

New Jerusalem fully expresses the Triune God. In heaven John saw that “He who was sitting [on the throne] was like a jasper stone” (Rev. 4:3). Verse 21:11 tells us that the light of New Jerusalem “was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone.” This is the Triune God shining out through every part of the city.

Then verse 21:18 declares that “the building work of its wall was jasper; and the city was pure gold.” The entire wall expressess God and the city itself is completely constructed with the divine nature (the gold). In addition, verse 21:19 says “The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every precious stone: the first foundation was jasper.”

When we are fully saturated, mingled, and built into the Triune God—the Father of glory (Eph. 1:17), the Lord of glory (1 Cor. 2:8), and the Spirit of glory (1 Pet. 4:14)—to be the New Jerusalem, that will be our oneness in the divine glory for His corporate expression.*

New Jerusalem’s corporate expression of the Triune God will be the fullest and eternal answer to the Lord’s prayer to the Father in John 17:22, “the glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, even as We are one.”
