No Dust, No Tares, No Leaven in New Jerusalem

New Jerusalem is grown up and built together in Christ by His life in us. The city is composed solely of materials which are precious because God is their essence. These materials signify:
• God the Father; “The city was pure gold, like clear glass” (Rev. 21:18b).
• the death and resurrection of Christ; “The twelve gates were twelve pearls” (v. 21a).
• the Spirit’s transforming work in man; “Her light was like a most precious stone” (v. 11b).

The constitution of the city and its location in Christ allow no possibility of dust or contamination or improper materials. There is no dust because the man created from dust has been fully transformed and glorified by the Spirit New Jerusalemsaturating man with God’s life and nature (but not bringing him into the Godhead).

Because God’s building progressed from plants growing on God’s farm to New Jerusalem builded with precious materials, there is no possibility for tares or leaven. The tares portray false believers and the leaven indicates corruption; neither has any place in New Jerusalem.

New Jerusalem begins with Christ coming into man to make these men a new creation. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, they have become new.” (2 Cor. 5:17). Ultimately the entire universe will be a new creation (Rev. 21:1).

New Jerusalem is pure, clear as crystal, like clear glass, and transparent (Rev. 21:11, 18, 21). It is a wonderful precious city, the center and highlight of the new creation!
