One Easy (and super neat) Way to Support Israel

I love supporting small organizations that are actively engaged in their field, allowing donors to witness tangible results. A friend of mine runs a ministry where 100% of donations are channeled directly to the small organizations they collaborate with globally. Seeing the photos illustrating how the funds are utilized makes us feel like we are making a direct impact. I have a few other friends with similar ministries where you can see the results of your donations. They are here and here.

But I digress....

Discovering a company that champions small businesses in Israel immediately captured my interest. Quarterly, I receive a generously sized box (larger than a shoe box) filled with various handmade products ranging from food items to art. What's more, each box includes a recipe card for preparing an Israeli dish and photographs of some of the artisans. Maybe it's just me, but it is truly special to be able to see the individuals behind the items in my box!

This ministry is unique and so dear to my heart. They are called Artza (this is a Hebrew word for 'towards the land').

Each quarter, the Artza boxes are mailed out and are filled with various items (differing from the previous boxes), ensuring every box is a new experience. If you have a favorite item (such as coffee or chocolates), they sometimes provide additional items in their online store (based in the US, so you get reasonable shipping costs).

I have attached a few photos from my first box here, and you can watch my video of the box unveiling on YouTube (it's one minute long).

My heart skips a beat when I see that my Artza box has arrived!

Receiving these items creates a stronger connection to Jesus for me because these items come directly from Israel.

I adore the sea salt (from the Dead Sea!) and the lotion (also crafted from the Dead Sea). The chocolate is amazing, and there's even a rock game created from Jerusalem quarrie rock. How super special is that?

When you receive a box (you can choose regular or premium...premium gets you more items) you are supporting not only small businesses and charities but you are helping the Israeli economy during this war.

Meet Hagar. She is one of the artists. Look at this beautiful candle holder (see below) she created. This is going in my office with a battery tea-light.

I plan on sharing each box with my Bible study (and my family) so we can all take a step into Israel together, taste the food, drink the coffee, and meet a few of their beautiful creative souls together. These also make great gifts!

Israel-related items always bring the Bible to life for me. The fact that Jesus resided there and has ties to that land fills me with wonder. I dream of visiting Israel one day, but for now, I cherish my connection through Artza.

Are you ready to receive your very own Artza box? If you do, I have a gift for you! Please use my code to get a 20% discount on your boxes. My super special code is: KHERMAN.

Your box will not be the same as mine. You will get to discover new items!

Join me in supporting Israeli small businesses while also enjoying tastes of Israel with the connection to Jesus through Artza!

Cheering you on,

Give

    A Soulo-ish Adventure

I just made up a name! Kind-of. This name exists but not in the context of my definition.Soulo. This is something I recently did. And since I love a play on words and find them clever, here we are.Last month I took a trip. Mostly by myself. My daughter was about 30 minutes away and stayed with me just a few nights, so I was not completely solo. Hence the -ish at the end of my new word.If you have seen my website or read my blogs, you will notice that I have a thing for beaches. Tropical beaches.
