Memorise: “So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief” (Heb 3:19)

Read: Deuteronomy 34:1-5

God can make the seeing to become blind especially after refusing to heed several warnings. What has the Lord been speaking to you about which you have paid deaf ears to? Repent and obey Him fast before your mind goes blind. It is also possible to see but not enjoy what has been seen. It is one thing to see a blessing before hand and another to actually partake in it.Esau and Reuben saw the blessing of the first born coming but they never partook of it. Nothing can be as painful as seeing what should have come to you go to some other person. You shall not lose your blessings this year in Jesus’ Name.

In 2 Kings 7:1-20, in the wake of turn around over the Samarian siege, the set man – prophet Elisha proclaimed a sudden economic revival that would take the nation from extreme lack and deprivation to the other end of the continuum – extreme provision and abundancefaith in God

The Economic Adviser of the king tried in vain to figure it out, applying all known indices but could not, so he told the prophet, ‘It is impossible’. Prophet Elisha’s reply came like a bombshell: “You shall see it with your eyes but you shall not participate in it”. It appeared like a joke. Within 24 hours, the breakthrough came for Samaria. The king assigned his Economic Adviser to be in-charge of the distribution.

If only the man had known that that crucial assignment was his death warrant, he would not have accepted it. God will not allow you to accept any appointment or promotion that will destroy you in Jesus’ Name.

The Economic Adviser of the king of Samaria saw the national breakthrough but never partook of it because of unbelief. Hebrews 3:19 says, “So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief”.

Any blessing you cannot believe God for cannot be possessed. In today’s reading, Moses saw the promised land but did not step into it. It is a curse to see and not possess. He flouted God’s instruction. He did not give God all His glory. He carried out God’s instruction in anger. What is that thing that can make you to see and not possess?

Ask God to uproot it from your life today. Are you paying attention to God’s genuine prophet?

Father, let my hands possess every blessing my eyes have seen.
