Preparing for Marriage - A Nighttime Prayer
But if they cannot exercise self-control, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion. -- I Corinthians 7:9
Please Pray:
Dear Lord, we pray for our families, and we pray for the institution of marriage, which you created in the beginning for us to have dominion and authority over the world. You created Adam and Eve to be fruitful, to multiply and for companionship. You created them as one flesh as Adam recognized Eve as his bone and flesh. God help our churches to invest in supporting families to maintain healthy relationships and to raise godly children. God help those who desire to be married, prepare their hearts and help them to seek your perfect will for their lives. Help them not to fall into the traps of the enemy and to marry outside of your will. Heal marriages that are struggling and need support to maintain their commitment to you. Heal those who are hurting and who need your help from broken commitments or any forms of abuse. In Jesus Name, Amen.
