Promise for the Present and Beyond - A Nighttime Prayer

…Rather train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. – 1 Timothy 4:7-8

Please Pray:

Heavenly Father,

We long to grow stronger in our faith, but too often we fail to put that longing into action. Lord, help us to find delight in training ourselves for godliness. Allow us to see the results of time spent in the pursuit of holiness. Give us a hunger for those disciplines that will draw us closer to You and give us divine opportunities to flex our spiritual muscles for Your glory. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
