1 Samuel 19 vs. 10 – And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the javelin; but he slipped away out of Saul’s presence, and he smote the javelin into the wall: and David fled, and escaped that night.
- King Saul tried various means to kill David
- Twice, David had an opportunity to kill Saul his enemy but he refused to kill a man described as the Lord anointed.
- The death and destruction of our physical enemies if need be, is not in our hands but in the hands of God.
- David showed love to his arc enemy who was always pursuing him to kill him.
- At the right time, God killed Saul.
- It is not really Scriptural to pray for the death of your physical enemies, following the example of David and the teachings of Jesus Christ, we are expected to show them love and pray for their salvation.
