Readiness For Eternity

Hi,
How would you feel when you realize you’re just a step to eternity?

And you remember those days you murmured when you could have prayed.
Those days you complained when you should be grateful,
When you were not satisfied, even while you were still breathing,
When you preach Christ, yet your life is a huge contradiction,
When he speaks to us with everything around us, yet we choose not to notice,
When we abuse his grace, knowing we can run back to him,
And you’ve left behind everything you worked for?
How you realize you’ve spent years building for your temporary self, while your permanent self or soul was left in ruins,
You’re standing in front of the Chief Judge and you racked your brain trying to remember the last time you acknowledged God,
You try to remember the last time you were at the throne house, a throne house God offered to us on a platter of Gold but you never visited because you felt you didn’t have time in the midst of hustling.

The throne of God is not just in church or fellowship, God’s house is in your heart. Yeah, with all the ruckus and noise and complaining and murmuring, He lives in your heart. You make him so uncomfortable with your complaints and worries, yet He rests in your heart, waiting.
When you say a short prayer on your way to work, you’re in the throne house of God,
When you whisper, “Take charge of my day, Lord” even in a public bus, you’re in the throne house of God.
Conversation boosts relationship, even if it’s a sentence to God every 20 minutes, God is listening. Your eyes doesn’t have to be shut, your knees doesn’t have to be on the floor.
Let him in on your day, don’t shut him out. Tell him ‘What’s up.’

Tell him about that your boss that’s making you feel awkward, tell him about that lady you think you like but you’re not sure. Make him understand how you feel at all times, and experience peace.
Talk to him and one day, when you don’t expect it, you’ll see that even though he responds to you with His Word, His Peace, your spirit, your conscience, you’ll one day hear His voice.

Talk to Him when you’re hurt, broken or confused. People could have healing words, but God has the power to heal completely.
When you’re in a healthy relationship with God, you’ll see that you don’t force yourself to be righteous. God would make you His masterpiece. He’ll relieve you of bad habits you’re addicted to, and purge you. You’ll feel different and act different. Even though everything would not be rosy at all times, when hard times come you’ll still find God there. Helping you sail through.

God would make us live our lives in such a way that even when we’re just a step to eternity, we’ll be convinced with faith that we’ve run a good race and we’re ready to meet our creator.
