Robert Breaker's Salvation Theology Is a Modern Doctrine, Part 2: AI-Hallucinated Quotes (Nicene Period)

[Summary]

Robert Breaker used Generative AI to find quotes for him to find historical backing for his salvation theology, and it hallucinated AI-generated fake lines for his book, The Unbroken Chain of Salvation by Faith in The Blood : The Biblical Doctrine of Putting Your Faith in the Blood Atonement of Jesus Christ to Receive the Forgiveness of Sins.

The hallucinated lines reflect Robert Breaker's theology.

Robert Breaker used AI to write Chapter 8 of his book, The Unbroken Chain of Salvation by Faith in the Blood: The Biblical Doctrine of Putting Your Faith in the Blood Atonement of Jesus Christ to Receive the Forgiveness of Sins.

Well, that AI fabricated and hallucinated quotes.

The book in its description even bragged, "Drawing from Scripture, ancient writings, Baptist history, Protestant testimonies, hymns of the faith, and even modern A.I. search engine analysis, this book reveals shocking consistency:... • Why A.I. itself confesses that 'faith in the blood of Jesus Christ is necessary to be saved from God’s wrath.'"

A person who I have de-associated with (for personal reasons), Tony/Jeremiah333-JesusSaves, found out all of these quotes were fabricated.

That prompted Robert Breaker to make this livestream on February 16, 2026, Learning About A.I. (How to Use It).

In it, he says he'll pull the Amazon listings for the book, which he only did for the physical editions of the English and Spanish. The Kindles still exist, and you can still buy them.

And he said that he would give refunds.

He would have had to see this when he was pulling the books, so it was a deliberate decision to keep the Kindle. People have since bought those Kindle editions and given them reviews.

"I gave it a prompt to produce verbatim quotes. And when the verbatim quotes were given to me, I also gave it another prompt to go back and verify those quotes. And then once the quotes were verified, I gave it another prompt to go back and verify those quotes again." - Robert Potthoff, Learning About A.I. (How to Use It), 4:59

Robert Breaker, however, in an off-the-cuff video, contradicts the account that Robert Potthoff was the person to use ChatGPT, as he says HE did it.

"So we went to AI and we asked for quotes on faith in the blood." - Robert Breaker, AI or ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE Walkin and A-Talking with Robert Breaker #ai #artificialintelligence, starting at 21:19

He originally says WE, but he then says:

"Okay, I went to AI and asked for some truths and it says here are verbatim historically documented quotes…" - Robert Breaker, AI or ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE Walkin and A-Talking with Robert Breaker #ai #artificialintelligence, starting at 21:29

"So I went to AI and I said I want quotes of people saying you’re saved by faith in the blood…" - Robert Breaker, AI or ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE Walkin and A-Talking with Robert Breaker, starting at 21:52

"AI gave me some paraphrases and didn’t give me the actual quotes…" - Robert Breaker, AI or ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE Walkin and A-Talking with Robert Breaker, starting at 22:58

So, to really emphasize, he changes from WE to I did it.

Robert Potthoff was the fall guy.

Remember that, as he cannot find historical backing for his theology.

[Robert Breaker's salvation theology]

Robert Breaker's salvation theology is best described as this.

To be saved, you must specifically assent to the blood of Jesus Christ, that is to say "trust the blood of Jesus Christ with all of your heart".

1. The Blood of Jesus Christ is your object of faith.

"the Bible says You must trust the blood... but you haven’t trusted the blood you’re not saved yet" - Robert Breaker, The Blood of Jesus: The Mechanics of Salvation or the Object of our Faith? #bloodofchrist, starting at 18:38

2. Saving faith is when a person trusts the blood of Jesus Christ, SPECIFICALLY to save them

Breaker: "he's looking at your heart and he's looking to see when does your heart trust the blood alone for salvation you can come to him begging him please don't send me to hell but it's not until from the heart you're trusting in the blood that you're saved" - Robert Breaker, The Message of the Blood, 45:40

3. The entire gospel, the death, burial and resurrection is all tied to the blood of Jesus Christ.

"It's not the death that saves you. It's how he died and what he did when he rose from the dead. And it's all focused on the blood. For it is the blood that maketh atonement for the soul." - Robert Breaker, Faith in the Blood is Faith in the Atoning Work of Jesus! #faithintheblood #atonement #bloodofjesus, 47:43

As Robert Breaker has said others in history have shared his theology, and this entire article is predicated upon debunking the people he said that shared his theology, I will put every person he quotes through these three categories.

1. Did they teach Sola Fida/Faith Alone?

I am discounting Calvinists from this, as Robert Breaker himself said.

"So total depravity Calvinists preach that you are so totally depraved in your sin that you cannot come and believe. God has to overcome you and change your nature so you can believe. That's not whosoever will. So Calvinism is totally wrong. Unconditional election means God uh is is electing unconditionally certain people. Um, no. There is a condition. If you come, he'll save you. If you don't, he won't. Limited atonement, blasphemy, to say that Jesus only died for certain people. They say Jesus only died for the elect. No, Jesus died for the sins of the whole world. Now, if you don't get that, it's because you refuse it. But the Bible says he died for the sins of the whole world. So, I see Calvinism as a system by man that is very anti-biblical" - Robert Breaker, Church Meeting Schedule 2026, 1:09:02

"and they say a lot of the churches in Europe are Calvinists you never you never been in the calvinist church let me rephrase that you've never been in a worse place than when you go to a calvinist church" - Robert Breaker, Upcoming livestream Jan 17 2023, starting at 17:30

"well it's interesting maybe because calvinist can never tell you how to get saved well if you're one of the elect you already are so why am i wasting my time telling you and it's like it's not a waste of time to tell" - Robert Breaker, Interview with Spencer Smith, starting at 1:08:50

Robert Breaker: "Do you think Calvinists are saved?" I'll let you go first.

Dr. Robert Potthoff: I don't. I don't think at all. I don't think it's even possible. They believe in the false gospel.

Robert Breaker: Well, I think it would have been possible, and maybe even today, that you could be a Calvinist and could be saved, but just messed up. You got saved and you fell into it. But,

Dr. Robert Potthoff: If you fell, if you did it in that order, yes. Then then it would be possible.

Robert Breaker: If you're a full-fledged Calvinist that that is like, just eating, breathing Calvin, you would be so messed up that you wouldn't know if you're saved.

Dr. Robert Potthoff: Yeah. Now, a lot of your Calvinists don't know they're Calvinists today.

Robert Breaker: Yeah. But a true Calvinist can never know if they're saved because they run around saying, "I just hope, fingers crossed, I'm one of the elect."

Dr. Robert Potthoff: Yeah.

Robert Breaker: But with that stated, Calvin did write books on faith in the blood. So it is possible that you get the right gospel from Calvin, but he also at the same time said the wrong gospel, which is Lordship Salvation.

Dr. Robert Potthoff: Right.

Robert Breaker: So it's just like there's good churches and bad churches, and there's some saved people in the bad churches just like there's some lost people in the good churches. So to me, I think there are some that are Calvinists that might be saved. I'm not going to say who is and who isn't, but if you're a full-fledged Calvinist, there's a good chance you don't know you're saved, which is a good hint.

Dr. Robert Potthoff: Yeah. If you got saved first... if you got saved first, I think is then then you're saved. There's no way around it.

Robert Breaker: You're just messed up.

Dr. Robert Potthoff: Right. But if you come through Calvinistic doctrine first, it's probably a lot harder to get saved, honestly, because you've um you've got to unlearn things before you can uh before you can actually believe the gospel. And it, it doesn't It's not just Calvinism, any type of um... any type of um replacement theology, or any type of false doctrine that's out there. If you get that first, then you're going to have to earn unlearn things in order to be able to believe the gospel. Now if you believe the gospel first and then fall into it, that's a whole different ballgame there. That's a saved person that became a Calvinist. That's not a that's not a a Calvinist that got saved, basically.

Robert Breaker: Exactly. And for a lot of people that don't know what Calvinism teaches, it's the TULIP. And it's basically Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited Atonement, Irresistible Grace, and Preservation of the Saints. This is a man-made doctrine where he's going through the Bible and he's not rightly dividing, so there's no dispensations in Calvinism. So he's taking the kingdom message of Jesus and trying to mix it with Paul, while he's mixing it with the Law, while he's mixing it with the Millennial Kingdom preaching and doctrine. What a mess you get into! So you'll say it right: Jesus died on the cross and His sacrifice and faith in His blood is the way we're saved. But then you turn around and you say, "But you have to endure to the end to be saved." How do you just tell me you get saved like this, but then you've got to do this to be saved? They don't work." - Robert Breaker, starting at 53:54

If Robert Breaker himself discounts Calvinism and limited atonement, then he obviously wouldn't view limited atonement teachers as agreeing with them.

2. Did they position the blood of Jesus Christ, and that specifically as the individual object of saving faith?

3. Did they view calling/prayer or confessing as a condition to be saved as a work?

Robert Breaker's theology is premised that calling as a condition for salvation is a work.

Robert Breaker , November 6, 2025

“Is to confess with their mouth that the Lord is Jesus or Jesus is Lord. Wouldn’t that be Israel? So what I read Romans 10, I see Jews asking Paul, ‘Hey, what about Israel?’ And he says, ‘Well, if a guy is a Jew and he has confessed that Jesus is his Lord, that Jesus is his Messiah, and if he believes that God hath raised him from the dead, well then he can be saved.’ So if he believes in who and what, then he’ll be saved. I don’t think he’s telling you you have to do both and that you have to say with the mouth or you’re not saved. If he’s saying you have to believe from your heart in something and say it with your mouth at the same time, then that would be a faith plus works gospel. And that would nullify what Jesus did because it’s not just what he did, it’s what you say, which would be a work.”

"you see the confession isn't what saves you it's the belief in the heart so if you're not saved and you want to be saved and you don't want to go to hell why don't you just bow your head and close your eyes and just go to the Lord and tell him that what you've heard from the scripture today is true because the Bible says it is now why don't you say I accept what you've done for me I'd rely upon that finished work I trust your blood to save my soul see the prayer isn't what saves you it's whether or not your faith is in the shed blood of Jesus Christ if your faith is not in that blood then you're not saved if your faith is in that blood then you're on your way to heaven" - Robert Breaker, How to Be Saved, October 9th, 2010, starting at 10:15

"verse 5 much more than being now justified by his blood we shall be saved from wrath through him verse 11 and not only so but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we have now received the atonement salvation is receiving the atonement of Christ by faith yes amen it's not oh God now please save me now because I want to be safe sincerity is not what saves us you could be very sincere when you pray that but if you haven't TRUSTED IN THE BLOOD are you receiving salvation are you just begging for it and uh I call that the Beggars gospel I could sit here and say Ray please give me ten thousand dollars does he give it to me because I asked him for it" - Robert Breaker, Livestream With Brandon Bernardi July 2023, starting at 52:34

"Your works don't save you. What you say doesn't save you. What you pray doesn't save you. It's whether or not you're believing IN THE BLOOD." - Robert Breaker, What Faith in the Blood Really Means #faithintheblood #faithinjesus #bloodofjesus #bloodofchrist, 28:19

When I say his salvation theology is modern, I mean having a specific salvation theology where salvation is premised upon a sinner consciously trusting SPECIFICALLY in the Blood of Jesus Christ as their distinct saving object of faith. I mean the theology is that you aren't saved unless you single out the blood of Jesus Christ and focus on that, and trust "with all your heart" in the singled-out blood of Jesus Christ for salvation.

[Fact checking]

“For the same faith which healed the saints of old now heals us. That is to say, faith in the one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Faith in his blood, faith in his cross, faith in his death and resurrection." - Augustine of Hippo, Of Nature and Grace, Chapter 44

"There's another guy, Augustine of Hippo. He was 354 to 450 after Jesus: "For the same faith which healed the saints of old now heals us." What would that faith be? Faith in the blood. "That is to say, faith in the one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, faith in his blood, faith in his cross, faith in his death and resurrection." That's 300 to 400 years after Jesus. They're still preaching the same message. How is that 15 years old? It's over 1,500 years old, amen?" - Robert Breaker

1. Salvation by faith alone

Let's go to Martin Luther.

TABLE TALK

About Augustine and Justification

Early November, 1531 NO.85

“It was Augustine’s¹³ view that the law, fulfilled by the powers of reason, does not justify, even as works of the moral law do not justify the heathen, but that if the Holy Spirit assists, the works of the law do justify. The question is not whether the law or the works of reason justify, but whether the law, kept with the Spirit’s help, justifies.

“I reply by saying No. Even if in the power of the Holy Spirit a man were to keep the law completely, he ought nevertheless to pray for divine mercy, for God has ordained that man should be saved not by the law but by Christ. Works never give us a peaceful heart. Christ would never have been sad in spirit unless he had been pressed hard by the law, to which he subjected himself for our sake.”

This is Martin Luther's Table Talk, Volume 54. Augustine doesn't hold to Salvation by faith alone.

"Since therefore so many indications of truth are combined, let us after the example of our fathers celebrate the festival of our general Salvation with joy and exultation, colouring our side posts, between which is the door of the word which the Apostle wishes to be opened unto him, with faith in the Lord's Passion. Of this door David also says, Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips, that we may speak of nothing but the Blood of Christ, whereby we have conquered death, whereby we are redeemed." - St. Ambrose of Milan, Letters (1881). pp. 137-213. Letters 21-30, LETTER XXIII

Does he teach salvation is by faith alone?

"Here is an example for you to follow, for it may be that there is hope of amendment for this guilty person; if he be yet unbaptized, that he may receive remission, if baptized that he may do penance, and offer up his body for Christ. See how many roads there are to salvation!" - St. Ambrose of Milan, Letters (1881). pp. 137-213. Letters 21-30, AMBROSE TO STUDIUS.

He doesn't teach initial salvation is by faith alone.

He teaches straight out baptismal regeneration for salvation.

"For that Baptism is not from men but from Christ which the Angel of mighty Counsel brought down to us, that we might be justified before God." - St. Ambrose of Milan, Letters (1881). pp. 137-213. Letters 21-30, SERMON: AGAINST AUXENTIUS ON THE GIVING UP THE BASILICAS

The quote isn't even about the blood specifically; it's about the entire passion!

Look at their hubris.

Robert Breaker: Somebody is a lying deceiver that doesn't know what they're talking about. Well, let's just go a little farther. Here's Ambrosiaster, bishop of Milan, from about 300 to 400 after Jesus: "Let us after the example of our fathers celebrate the festival of our general salvation with joy and exultation, coloring our side-posts..." Just like the Passover, putting the blood on the door. "...between which is the door of the word which the apostle wishes to be opened unto him with faith in the Lord's passion..." Faith in the passion is the death, burial, resurrection, the shed blood. "...that we may speak of nothing but the blood of Christ whereby we have conquered death, whereby we were redeemed. Now wait a minute, nobody ever preached faith in the blood, trust in the blood? And here we see it almost 2,000 years ago. Did these guys know what they're talking about?

Robert Potthoff: No.

Robert Breaker: It doesn't sound like it.

Robert Potthoff: Well, they either don't know or they're or they're purposely trying to deceive people.

Robert Breaker: Or I think they're just doing this: "Well, I'll just go follow what everybody else is saying."

Robert Potthoff: "Who's who's preaching what today? Let me let me That's not what Sermon Central says."

Ambrose and Ambrosiaster is not the same person. Ambrosiaster is a anonymous person in 4th century rome who wrote commentaries on Pauline Epistles.

He taught that profession (not confession) was a condition for salvation, when he taught Romans 10.

I don't agree with that, but the point stands. He doesn't even stand for him!

"Because if you confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10:10 For one believes with the heart unto righteousness, but confession is made with the mouth unto salvation. Everything the apostle discussed above he has stated clearly here, namely, that this is the rule of faith: to believe that Jesus is Lord and not to be ashamed to profess that God raised him from the dead and led him in bodily form 17 into heaven, from which he had come to be in an incarnate form.18 With this rule of faith one is preserved from the censure of the gospel: Many of the rulers believed in Jesus, but they did not profess this openly on account of the Jews; for they preferred the praise of people to the praise of God (John 12:42–43)." - Ambrosiaster, Romans 10:10

G. V. Wigram, 1840

“The blood of Jesus Christ is to them that have faith in it propitiation.”

This is from The Cross, the Blood and the Death of Jesus Christ by George Vicesimus Wigram.

"5. The blood of Jesus Christ is, to them that have faith in it, propitiation. As it is written: " Christ Jesus.... whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood." (Rom. 3:25.)

The question at issue in this chapter is, " How can a sinful transgressor be received by God? " And the answer is, "If he come as a sinful transgressor, he will be received, freely, by God's grace, through Christ Jesus, whom God hath set forth as a propitiatory, or mercy seat, for them that have faith in His blood. For this blood tells how a just God can be the justifier of the sinful transgressor, who receives the account He gives of the blood, and trusts to it. This word translated "propitiation " occurs only once more in the New Testament, in Heb. 9:5, and means, propitiatory or mercy-seat-which was the, place where God dwelt, between the cherubim, and it shut up, and was over, the law in the ark; before and upon it the blood of atonement was sprinkled.

G. V. Wigram, 1840

“The blood of Jesus Christ is to them that have faith in it propitiation.”

“Whom God has set forth as a propitiatory or mercy seat for them that have faith in his blood.”

“For Christ is entered into heaven itself now to appear in the presence of God for us.”

I would usually address those quotes, but he is a literal Calvinist.

"During the summer of 1830 the Aungier Street meeting was visited by George Vicesimus Wigram, a young graduate of Queen’s College Oxford. Wigram intended to join the missionary party, but was prevented from doing so at the last moment; returning to England he considered ordination, but as Bishop Blomfield of London refused to ordain him because of his extreme Calvinism, he settled at Plymouth and devoted himself to philanthropic activity and Biblical studies" - Peter L. Embley, The Early Development of the Plymouth Brethren

Why are we quoting Calvinists?

He teaches Limited Atonement.

"Ephesians i. God says that He chose me from the foundation of the world ; and He called me within this present century. SIX THOUSAND YEARS ago He chose me, and never has He wavered during all that period for a moment. I could not say that since He called me, and since He has been my choice, that I have never wavered in love, never turned aside from the path of enduring affliction with His people ; but if anyone were to say, 'How do you know that you are one of God's chosen?' my answer would be, 'I know it because God revealed Christ to me and let His glory shine into my heart.” The time was when there was no place in my heart for Christ, and as to feeling anything like interest in Him, I had not the slightest; but now He is the central object of my heart, and everything turns upon it." - Gleanings from the Teaching of G.V.W., Series 2, page 99-100

This is his salvation testimony, where is the blood?

"I was for years endeavouring to find God, but like a bull in a net struggling and striving to do something first for myself, not knowing that God had done something for me; till I looked into heaven (thus an earthen vessel gets turned up to the light) and there I saw the very thing to suit a poor sinner—a God of grace, in Christ; in a place where there is not a single element of the place I am in now. And I am brought into the light shining there, the light that makes everything here, easy to be read and gathered up." - Gleanings from the Teaching of G.V.W., Series 2, pages 66–67

His object of faith is also Christ, not the blood specifically.

"If I am to be in the Father's house, a redeemed sinner, I want a perfect Man there. And if He is up there as the One who has run the race down here, and won all for us, what can I do? There is nothing to be done but to receive from Him. There is but one place of anchorage for the soul, and that is faith in Jesus. But even where there is that faith, there may not be settled peace of conscience, and that is why it is so important to have a right understanding on the question of works. It is not the question only of getting peace on first coming to God, but of abiding in God’s presence with unbroken peace ever after; and this cannot be unless God’s idea of works be clearly understood." - Gleanings from the Teaching of G.V.W., Series 2, pages 96

The many Charles Haddon Spurgeon quotes by Robert Breaker.

“I come then now to preach Christ crucified.”

“Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood.”

“That he may be the propitiation for our sins by faith in his blood.”

“Him if God the Father set forth that by faith in his blood, your sins being put away, you might enjoy the blessings of complete justification. Through faith in his blood.”

“We look to Christ and look to Christ alone as the propitiation for our sin.”

“He is enough without any of these. Have faith in the blood and you are saved.”

“God has set forth Christ to be a propitiation through faith in his blood.”

“The case is mournful. Certain ministers are making infidels. Avowed atheists are not a tenth as dangerous as those preachers who scatter doubt and stab at faith.”

Robert Breaker conveniently ignores Mouth Confession; Heart Belief.

"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:9)

There must be confession with the mouth. Have I made it? Have I openly avowed my faith in Jesus as the Savior whom God has raised from the dead, and have I done it in God's way! Let me honestly answer this question.

There must also be belief with the heart. Do I sincerely believe in the risen Lord Jesus? Do I trust in Him as my sole hope of salvation? Is this trust from my heart? Let me answer as before God.

If I can truly claim that I have both confessed Christ and believed in Him, then I am saved. The text does not say it may be so, but it is plain as a pikestaff and clear as the sun in the heavens: "Thou shalt be saved." As a believer and a confessor, I may lay my hand on this promise and plead it before the Lord God at this moment, and throughout life, and in the hour of death, and at the Day of Judgment.

I must be saved from the guilt of sin, the power of sin, the punishment of sin, and ultimately from the very being of sin. God hath said it -- "Thou shalt be saved." I believe it. I shall be saved. I am saved. Glory be to God forever and ever!" - Charles Haddon Spurgeon.

Well, if you watched the video by Robert Breaker, you will know I left out three quotes by "Charles Haddon Spurgeon".

Robert Breaker: So let me read to you from this, okay? This right here is the Spurgeon Study Bible. Now let me say, I'm not a Calvinist, so I'm not going to Spurgeon because I'm a Calvinist. I'm going to show you that many Calvinists don't even agree with Spurgeon. They don't believe it's faith in the blood, they believe it's just faith in the death. And they're wrong. But this is Romans chapter 3 and verse 25, and these are the notes in the Spurgeon Study Bible. And it says, talking about the blood in Romans 3:25: "Oh, how people labor to get rid of this. Certain persons think themselves philosophic, and will do all they can to smear this doctrine of substitution. But it is the soul, head, and foundation, and cornerstone of the entire gospel."

What? This is the note on Romans 3:25. So the cornerstone, and foundation, and soul, and head of the entire gospel is the blood of Jesus. Listen to this, it sounds like Paul Johnson: [laughs] "If it is left out, then the gospel preached is another gospel." If you leave out the blood, you're preaching another gospel. And we just showed you why: if all you say death, burial, resurrection, then you got the devil saved. You're leaving out "according to the scriptures, according to the scriptures, it's Christ, and was buried and rose again." What is wrong with you?

And it says: "If it is left out, then the gospel preached is another gospel. The phrase 'atoning sacrifice' can refer to the mercy seat, the covering of the ark of the covenant," and on, and on, and on. So isn't that fascinating? This isn't 15 years ago, this was a guy that lived in the 1870s and 80s. So that's fascinating.

You know you can't find these quotes online, why?

Because the Charles Haddon Spurgeon Study Bible paraphrase from Spurgeon to make it more modern, they aren't actually what Charles Haddon Spurgeon said.

From Charles Haddon Spurgeon's, Justification, Propitiation, Declaration

Original: "There is an intervening suffering, and an intervening obedience. We are not justified freely without redemption, nor justified by his grace without the intervention of the atoning sacrifice. Oh! how men laboured to get rid of this. There are certain persons who think themselves philosophic, who will do all they can to throw dirt into the face of this doctrine of substitution, but it is the very soul, head, foundation, corner, and keystone of the entire gospel; and if it be left out, I hesitate not to say that the gospel preached is another gospel, which is not another, but there be some that trouble you."

Study Bible: "There is an intervening suffering and an intervening obedience. We are not justified freely without redemption, nor are we justified by his grace without the intervention of the atoning sacrifice. Oh, how people labor to get rid of this! Certain persons think themselves philosophic and will do all they can to smear this doctrine of substitution, but it is the soul, head, foundation, and cornerstone of the entire gospel. If it is left out, then the gospel preached is another gospel."

Original: "a reference here to the mercy-seat, the covering in; in our own word it is a reconciliation, a something by which God is propitiated; an at-one-ment by which God and man are made one, a propitiation; a something which vindicates the injured honour of God, which comes in to make amends to the divine law for human offences."

Study Bible: "The phrase atoning sacrifice can refer to the mercy seat, the covering of the ark of the covenant. Here it refers to a sacrifice that vindicates the injured honor of God and makes amends to the divine law for human offenses before a holy God."

It should really be emphasized the sermon that Charles Haddon Spurgeon made on believing and confessing.

Seriously, look at Mouth Confession; Heart Belief.

C. H. Mackintosh, Notes on Leviticus, 1879

“In the power of that blood, God can accomplish all his eternal counsels of grace. But the one solitary pedestal upon which the stupendous fabric of glory shall rest forever is the blood of the cross.”

“That precious blood, dear Christian reader, which has spoken peace, divine and everlasting peace to your heart and conscience in the presence of infinite holiness. The blood which is sprinkled upon the believer's conscience has been sprinkled seven times before the throne of God.”

“The nearer we get to God, the more importance and value we find attached to the blood of Jesus.”

Robert Breaker casually forgets to mention that Charles Henry Mackintosh explicitly writes that to be saved, one must call upon God for salvation.

"The judgment-seat will bring all to light. Therefore I say, Be honest with yourself, and now ask your heart, "Where am I? How do I stand? What is the ground of my peace? What are my prospects for eternity?" Do not imagine that God wants you to buy heaven with a surrender of earth. No; He points you to Christ, who, by bearing sin in His own body on the cross, has opened the way for the believing sinner to come into the presence of God in the power of divine righteousness. You are not asked to do or to be any thing; but the gospel tells you what Jesus is, and what He has done; and if you believe this in your heart, and confess it with your mouth, you shall be saved. Christ—God's Eternal Son—God manifest in the flesh—co-equal with the Father, being conceived by the Holy Ghost, was born of a woman, took upon Him a body prepared by the power of the Highest, and thus became a REAL MAN—very God and very man,—He, having lived a life of perfect obedience, died upon the cross, being made sin and a curse, and having exhausted the cup of Jehovah's righteous wrath, endured the sting of death, spoiled the grave of its victory, and destroyed him that had the power of death, He went up into heaven, and took His seat at the right hand of God. Such is the infinite merit of His perfect sacrifice, that all who believe are justified from ALL THINGS—yea, are accepted in Him—stand in His acceptableness before God, and can never come into condemnation, but have passed from death into life. This is the gospel!—the glad tidings of salvation, which God the Holy Ghost came down from heaven to preach to every creature. My reader, let me exhort you, in this concluding line, to "behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world." Believe and Live!" - Charles Henry Mackintosh, NOW AND THEN; OR, TIME AND ETERNITY
