The Faithful Presence of God - A Nighttime Prayer
Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.
– Psalm 114:7 (NKJV)
Please Pray:
Holy Lord, remind me to focus on the fullness of joy in Your presence, Your goodness, and Your power. Help me continue steadfastly in prayer; please let this be a lifeline between us. When You seem far away from me, please guard my trust in You. Do not let Satan lead me astray, but let me cling to Your promises in the face of evil. Remove all doubt, fear, anger, disbelief, and selfishness in my heart. Do not let me grieve Your Holy Spirit by my willful disobedience, but show me Your handiwork as my journey with You unfolds. Thank You for granting me a place with You in heaven where I may see You face to face and then fall down in total worship. I praise You for Your wonderful promises in the words of Your Son Jesus Christ, that Your joy may remain in me and be full. I pray, too, for my Christian brothers and sisters in areas where they are persecuted for believing in You. Please grant them hope, perseverance, and the blessing of Your peace as they rely on Your presence to sustain them. Send us Your ray of light into our darkened world. In the Name of Your Son Jesus, Amen.
