The Keys To Have Abundant Life

What are the keys to have abundant life ? The abundant life that Jesus talked about in the Bible ? Many people today are saved and have a restored relationship with God through Jesus. But they do not have the abundant life that God wants them to have.

The Keys To Have Abundant Life

Jesus Words In The Bible About Abundant Life

Jesus talked about abundant life in the Bible. In John 10:10 Jesus says the following: “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

The word life in this verse refers to eternal life through Jesus Christ. And it also refers to abundant life afterwards through Jesus. Eternal life is about our future eternal destiny in heaven with God. Abundant life is about our life here on earth after we are saved.

Jesus Warns About Our Enemy Satan

Jesus also talks about how our enemy Satan in Matthew 10:10. He said “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy”. Satan hates all people. He first wants to prevent people from being saved and having a restored relationship with God and eternal life in heaven. Satan will do all he can to lie and deceive people to prevent them from believing in God and putting their faith in Jesus. He will also do all he can to destroy people’s lives.

If he does not succeed in preventing people from being saved and becoming followers of Jesus, he will not stop trying to destroy their lives. He will use temptation, sin, addictions… to try to destroy lives. And the last thing he wants is for a believer to become a fully devoted and fruitful follower of Jesus Christ.

This type of Christian is a threat to Satan. And he definitely does not want Christians to experience the abundant and fruitful and victorious life that Jesus wants to give them. So he will try all he can to hinder a person’s relationship and fellowship with Jesus.

Jesus Is The Source Of Abundant Life

In John 14:6 Jesus says “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

Jesus came so that we could have a reconciled relationship with God. And so that we could have eternal life in heaven with Him. And also an abundant life here.

Jesus is the Way to God. He is the one Way that God sent in order to fix our problem of sin and separation from God. And to have a restored relationship with Him.

And Jesus is the Life. Jesus is the abundant life. He is the Source of the abundant life that God wants for us to have.

The abundant life that God wants for us is a life full of joy and peace.  And a life full of His power and victory. A fruitful and satisfying life full of purpose and meaning. A Christian that has abundant life is a person that is filled with the Holy Spirit, and the fruits of the Spirit are flowing out in his/her life.

This type of life brings much glory to Him. Why are there so many Christians who are not experiencing this type of life ? Churches are full of people who are missing out on the abundant life. In Part 2 we will continue to look at the keys to have abundant life.
