Psalm 22
- Deliverance does not come by silent prayers.
- If you want to provoke the attention of God, you need to roar like a lion in prayer.
- If you want to arrest the attention of Jesus, you need to cry.
- Jesus himself roared in prayer, such that his sweat was like tears.
- David challenged God and said God ‘’God, why did you forsake me’’?
- David said ‘’I roared and cried in prayer, why have you forsaken me’’?
- I have not been silent day and night, why have you not answered my prayers?
- God eventually heard the roars and cries of David.
- God delivered him, blessed him, and he cup runneth over – Psalm 23 vs 5.
