The Sacred Work of an Honorable Life - A Nighttime Prayer

1x
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. – Galatians 6:9 (NLT)

Please Pray:

Dear Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

In a world that moves fast and loud and shallow, teach me the sacred rhythm of the slow and steady soul maturing me into who I already am.Help me remember that honor isn’t found in grand gestures or viral moments, but in the brave decisions in how I treat others, maybe when no one is watching.

I confess that sometimes I settle for surface-level bravery—for applause instead of obedience, for boldness without trust. But true bravery comes from trusting you even when I can't control the outcome.

Help me trust when I don’t know the outcome.

Help me to discern the times I am to trust more.

Make me a person of honor.Let my words be careful, not careless.Let my loyalty be deep, not performative.Let my presence be faithful, not fleeting.

Grow in me a soul that is becoming whole. One brave decision to the next brave decision to the next brave decision.Let me not grow weary in doing what is good, trusting that in due time, you will bring forth the harvest.

There is that trust word again.

Help me to trust when I don’t know the outcome.

Help me to discern the times I am to trust more.

Make my soul whole again.

In Your Holy Name, Amen.
