The Scars Remain ... - A Nighttime Prayer

Then [Jesus] said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!” My Lord and my God!” Thomas exclaimed. – John 20:27–28 (NLT)

Please Pray:

God, I know you can heal. I’ve seen you heal others. I also know that I see scars on the lives all around me. Sometimes the scars twist so deep that movement is never truly easy again. I know that you’ve brought many kinds of healing in my life, and I also can see that scars remain. Father, in the same way that his wounds were part of Jesus’ testimony, make my scars part of my testimony. This world does injury, and by your power, even after being injured, I serve. By your grace and your Spirit, I overcome this world. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
