THEY’RE JUST WAITING FOR AN OPPORTUNE TIME

    When the devil wasn’t able to defeat Jesus the first time in the wilderness, it says he just left until another “opportune time.” This is what the enemy does when he loses. He lurks in the shadows and quietly plots another scheme, for another time, thinking to simply change his appearance in hopes of fooling his prey.

    Those who have been opposing God’s laws have just experienced a major defeat. They are now lurking in the shadows, looking for an opportune time. Instead of accepting their lot, they are looking for another path on which to continue their destructive plans. Jesus recognized His accuser every time, whether it came through the Pharisees (Matt 23:24-26) or His best friend (Matt 16:23). We must do the same.

    We must continue to be on watch for the enemy’s attempts to steal, kill, and destroy God’s purposes for this nation. But just like Jesus did, we can rightly discern the spirit behind any coming accusations, threats, or ultimatums. We can look beyond appearances and detect the source from which the threats come. And with the same confidence and boldness of Jesus, we can resist the demonic forces at work and demand their exit.

    We’ve been fooled a lot in past years, unable to recognize the evil spirit behind certain agendas. We should know better now. Let’s be on guard and ready our hearts and minds to stand in faith and remain unmoved in our mission ahead. There is a destiny to be fulfilled and a nation to deliver. And by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, we will overcome.

        SACRED COWS AND STRANGE FIRE

        The knife that is cutting through His house is no respecter of persons. God does not set aside our favorites. He does not overlook compromise or spiritual corruption to salvage men’s reputations. Nor will allow His anointing to be weaponized by those who only seek the glory for themselves. He is a holy God and NO ONE can touch His glory. No one is above His discipline or correction. And because of the buildup of dung in His pantry, the stench can no longer be tolerated. No prophet or apostle, teacher or pastor, or any other leader in God’s house will escape His cleansing wrath.

The enemy is inserting himself into these situations to cause perceptions and perspectives to be skewed and void of integrity. Regardless of what “side” you are on, I guarantee the enemy is at work. Statements are being made to mean one thing and they are being received as something different. Unless we are aware of this, we will make assumptions and determine a meaning that is only half true.
