Towards the Land: An eternal covenant and gift for today

…Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring then into their own land; and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel…” Ezekiel 37:21
The nation of Israel exists today, tethered by a cord of covenant nearly as old as time, which stretches forever because of a faithful God. It is inspiring to see the Israeli people continue to fight for their right to this land. The same land spoken of in Ezekial and many other places captures the hearts and imagination of many; it is where our Savior walked, where He died, and where He will return.
Last October marked a year of great pain, suffering, and loss for the people of Israel. They typically have a thriving tourism industry; however, since the war began, as you can imagine, this has significantly dissipated. This lack of income for many artisans and small businesses in the region is devasting.
Artza: Toward the Land
Artza is a company that began four and a half years ago, intending to bring the Holy Land to your doorstep. This goal feels more necessary than ever, with so many people unable to go to Israel in person and with so many suffering at the lack of people coming. I have been privileged to partner with Artza in the past and consider this a critical year to partner again. If you are unfamiliar with Artza, they are a company based out of Israel that partners with local makers and artisans. They bring the flavor of Israel to the world.
Artza means “towards the land” from the scripture in Genesis 12:3-5, “I will bless those who bless you… and all the families of the earth shall be blessed through you…and they went out towards the land (Artza)… Genesis 12:3-5. God promised this land, which still lives on today, to people who are more resilient than ever and stand in hope despite significant opposition.
This year’s Christmas box does not disappoint. It is filled with keepsakes and goodies that bring joy from the Holy Land. This box is a beautiful, creative gift that supports the land and people that God loves. My son and I enjoyed opening this and exploring the treasures inside. My son particularly enjoyed the chocolate and date candy. (I had to steal it before he ate it all.)
Please remember Artza in your search for inspiring and unique gifts this Christmas.
