Waiting for Christmas - A Nighttime Prayer

“The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” – Lamentations 3:25-26 (NKJV)

Please Pray:

Jesus, my Savior, I worship You today in the beauty of the Christmas season. As I celebrate Your arrival, I’m still bewildered at how You loved us enough to give up Your heavenly home, to come live among us here on our sin-stained earth.

I am grateful and humbled that You would claim me as Your child.

Forgive me for my self-centeredness, looking only at my wishful thinking and not at how to serve Your kingdom sacrificially. Please wrap me up in Your presence and let me open Your gifts of joy and peace to share with the world.

Grant me the boldness to step out of my comfort zone and shout Your good news! You, my King, have arrived! You have come to save our world from its sins and sorrows!

May I love You more each day, no longer dreading this season but ready to share Your blessings with others. You are the most wonderful gift I could ever receive. In Your glorious Name, Amen.
