What Is The Body, The Temple, For? - Raising Zion

temple

We were created to praise and worship God. This body is the temple of God. The GLORY of God fills the temple of God when we praise and worship Him.

Imagine the terrible conditioning sin brought into human lives which makes a believer feel bored or even struggle to praise God or pray.

Worship flows out > Glory fills the temple > God’s word manifests > People flock to God.

This is the standard for any temple, be it physical or spiritual.

Protect Your Temple, the dwelling place of the Living God

Why are believers getting so carnal? Why do they lack revelation? How are believers increasingly so casual or forgetful about spending quality time with the creator of the heavens and the earth?

This is the war we are in. The devil only needs to attack our prayer life. Sin fills our lives with the glory of this world. That’s why many believers prefer their own glory in the form of a house, car, position, other material things.

The glory of God filling us is a humbling experience. His glory drains us off all the love for this world. Unless we do not live this experiences every day in prayer, we will keep longing for worldly, carnal things.

Isaiah, John, Moses, Elijah, etc. all experienced the awesome presence and glory of God.

King Solomon, after building the temple, prepared a sacrifice for God. God sent fire down from heaven to accept the sacrifice. As the temple of God, our reasonable service is to present our bodies as a living sacrifice.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Romans 12:1

Let’s pour our hearts to God so He can fill us with His glorious presence. Let the power of God, the fire of His Spirit fall on us, as we live for His glory. On earth, as it is in heaven. Maranatha, praise God and amen!
