What to expect from someone you love, who calls you? - Raising GENERATION Zion

When you love someone, and they call you to them, you go willingly, expecting the best.

Jesus has called you, believer. No one will ever love you as He does.

Our love is selfish or self-seeking. We get disappointed when the person we love isn’t perfect. With Jesus, we have a perfect person to love and expect the best.

What to expect from Jesus, who calls you?

1. He will train you to be fishers of men (Mark 1:17). The Holy Spirit is our teacher and comforter (John 14:26), who reminds us about Christ and guides our walk to win souls for Christ. Remember, the Holy Spirit convicts hearts, not eloquent preaching or play of words.

2. He will teach you humility and lowliness of heart (Matthew 11:29). Nothing is possible if Christ does not increase and I decrease (John 3:30). When we humble ourselves, He exalts us in due time. When we give room for His Spirit, we speak in authority rather than our passions.

3. Jesus unburdens us and provides rest and peace like no other. (Matthew 11:28). Even the burden He gives us is light (1 John 5:3). Not only that, His light burden heals us from faith to faith as we pursue His perfect will.

4. You receive eternal life. (John 5:40)

Who can go to Him?

Only those who are childlike. (Matthew 19:14)

Are you childlike? Or are you like Adam, full of guilt and shame, unable to come to the Father who alone can save you?

A child obeys out of love and does not host any bitterness or anger in their hearts (1 Corinthians 14:20).

A child of God’s love for the Father is full of awareness of His character of mercy and grace. He approaches boldly in time of need (Hebrews 4:16)

Everything we need in this world and beyond is in the presence of Jesus. No one can come to Him unless He calls (John 6:44). He called us so we can be like Him to live an overcoming life.

Go to Jesus. He will not cast you out (John 6:37). Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
