Who you say I am! April Monthly Script-Time

As we try and cope with our new norm living, working from home, losing our jobs, having to care for sick/dying people or trying hard to keep the shelves stocked at home and in the supermarkets.

We tend to reflect on life and where we are! Soooo….who are you in the midst of all this? when your work has been taken away, your income has been taken away and your freedom has been taken away!
Who are you and what is your identity? which leads me onto this months Script-Time

1 Peter 2:9 9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

What is your personal reflection of this passage? read the passage again slowly and hear what it is saying to you

Reflection:
Wow how amazing it is to recieve this Gift from God of Identity? When we look at the basic of what it means to be a Christian/ follower of Christ it is to receive a new identity.
Lets be clear that in Jesus, we do not lose our true selves, but we become our true selves, which is only found in him.

New Belonging in Jesus Christ is our life — not only the guarantee of it in heaven, but the downpayment of it by the Spirit now, as he lives in us. His joy becomes our joy; his love, our love; his peace, our peace; his strength, our strength.
Ephesians 1:5 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—

Citizens of Heaven In Christ- We have been born again for another world, to a greater kind of existence.

What are your personal actions for this new season, what has God said to you personally through this scripture?

Do you need to speak truth over yourself daily using Gods words, that you are fearfully and wondefully made. Postive affirmations are so powerful, and what we speak becomes life, so make sure its always postive words you say about yourself.

Each of us have our own silent battles, and lies that we beleive about ourselves. Ask God to show you what you need to do, take time and really listen to what you hear. Then follow it through!

Whatever you need to do, do it!

Now Send up your own personal prayer…. Spend some time talking to your Heavenly Father.

Father When I forget my name, remind me that I called by your name! You have called and chosen me, you are my father and my identy is in you, it is not in man’s oionion of me, no in the job or car I drive.

Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

1 John 3:1-2 1 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!

The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

Romans 15:7 7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

Romans 6:6 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—

Genesis 1:27 27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Jeremiah 1:5 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

1 Corinthians 12:27 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

Galatians 3:27-28 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Colossians 3:1-3 1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
