You might be thinking to yourself, “why would anyone be afraid of getting married”?
Some women are completely obsessed with getting married!
Others would prefer not to ever talk about. Ever.
I know the feeling.
After years of dating and breaking up, I was about as numb to love as I could get.
I no longer believed in love. Let alone marriage.
It just seemed like a hopeless cause for me.
Why bother “obsessing” over marriage when none of the fairy tales came true?
Then I met someone and he rocked my world!
He was way more different from any other man I had ever dated.
He actually cared about me.
And he would listen to me.
He actually understood me.
And yes, the thought of marriage did find its way back into my mind.
But I was completely terrified. You think Halloween is bad. I was down-to-my-core terrified.
Don’t get me wrong here. I’ve been dreaming about getting married since my “Little Mermaid” days. But the thought of me, a total love-life reject, with this amazing guy… scared me.
Although my prayers were being answered right before my very eyes, I couldn’t shake the thought of how much I was afraid of getting married.
