How To Preach Like Paul The Apostle In The Bible? - Raising Zion

being a preacher

Preach like Paul the apostle? Did you ever think anyone would ask you that?

A world renowned apologist (Bible defender) was found guilty of doing sinful acts for years. He was eloquent, sharp witted, and was loved by all. He had the power to influence many lives, and he did. God used him mightily across the world.

When we see how Paul presents himself, he makes it very clear about his own state of being as a preacher.

Preach like Paul the Apostle

1. I came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2. I was with you in weakness,
3. and in fear,
4. and in much trembling.
5. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:”
‭‭(1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:1, 3-4‬)

Paul shares about himself again in his 2 letter to the Corinthian church.

But even if I am unskilled in speaking, yet I am not [untrained] in knowledge [I know what I am talking about]; but we have made this evident to you in every way, in all things. (2 Corinthians 11:6)

A stark contrast to how preachers are today, or desire to be today. Immature believers want to make a name for themselves through ministry. Many are trying to build a reputation by using God as their spring board. Many singers and celebrities have fallen away choosing Satan in their quest for stardom.

When we focus on our ministry or our doings, we end up becoming manipulative. We forget we are dust and need God every step of the way.

We are in the last days, now is the time to dig deeper in prayer and in the word of God. Let the ministries be a natural outcome of your pursuit of the kingdom of God and His righteousness. In demonstration of the Spirit and of power.

But, to be an apostle, let God call you. An apostle means, one who is ‘sent’.

Jesus is coming soon. Praise God and Amen.
