Good day beautiful people
I hope that this message meets you well? Today’s post will be short and sweet nonetheless I pray that it will be of great encouragement to all my siblings in Christ who read it.
I’d like to believe that I’m not the only one who has gone through moments when praying can become a real struggle due to sickness e.g. being confined to your bed due to a severe case of the flu or intense period cramps, and during such times it’s really easy to feel guilty about not being able to give God your so called ‘best’. I want to remind us that God hears prayers which come from within, the words which your lips do not usher but are released from your heart. Although our righteousness is like filthy rags and we’re not saved by works but by the grace of God, God still desires to have an intimate relationship with us and He listens to prayers which come from a sincere heart. A heart which pursues purity and righteousness, a heart that acknowledges the need for the power of the Holy Spirit to give strength during moments of weakness.
Hebrews 10:22 ~ let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.
Psalm 61:1-3 ~ “O God, hear my prayer. Listen to my heart’s cry. For no matter where I am, even when I’m far from home, I will cry out to you for a father’s help. When I’m feeble and overwhelmed by life, guide me into your glory, where I am safe and sheltered. Lord, you are a paradise of protection to me. You lift me high above the fray. None of my foes can touch me when I’m held firmly in your wraparound presence!”
Psalm 34:17 ~ The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.
I know that there are many individuals who have a strong desire to fellowship with other believers, but cannot because they’re bedridden. This may cause some to feel that their worship is not so precious in the eyes of The Lord because they’re confined to a bed. But I want to encourage you that you CAN worship The Lord even whilst praising Him from your bed during times of trouble.
A biblical example
When reading through the book of 1 Kings a certain passage grabbed my attention (1 Kings 1:47). And the reason why is because that David’s act of worship from his deathbed was acknowledged as genuine worship.
1 Kings 1:47 ~ And all the royal officials have gone to King David and congratulated him, saying, ‘May your God make Solomon’s fame even greater than your own, and may Solomon’s reign be even greater than yours!’ Then the king bowed his head in worship as he lay in his bed,
If raising up a song as an offering of worship is what you can do with the God given strength you have for the day, know that THAT’S OK! Don’t be soooo hard on yourself, remember that what The Lord requires from us is a sincere heart. The desire to be in His presence and spend quality time with Him will bless His (God’s) heart. Daily communication with God is vital, but the way in which we communicate may vary from day to day. Consistency is key, pray without ceasing. Remember that true worship involves living for Christ, it’s a way of life.
Matthew 22:37 ~ “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’”
Stay connected for continuous words of encouragement. Have a wonderful, productive and joyous week.
God bless

1 John 3:20-24 ~ “Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him. And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us. Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.”
Simply a young woman striving to encourage women of God, whilst trying to spread the gospel to a mass majority of ladies all over the world. I am an armature with regards to blogs, but with more time and by God’s grace I shall improve lol. I want every single female on earth to know how much she is loved by God (John 3:16)! Please feel free to contact me via email for encouragement, advise or prayer (I am not a qualified counsellor, or a pastor, but I believe as a young woman I will be able to relate with SOME of the things other women around the world are going through). <<< As of Feb 2019 I completed my Counselling level 3 diploma Praise God 💃🏾. I intend to help others not in my own strength, but with the help of the Holy Spirit.
