A Light in the Darkness:  A Reason to Rejoice This Christmas - A Nighttime Prayer

1x
In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. -- John 1:4-5

Please Pray:

Father, I pray that through the darkness I sometimes feel and the hard things I must endure, I will see you, the Light of the world and the light of my life. Please remind me today that you are the true reason for the season of Christmas and that if there is cause for sadness or unrest in the world, there is a far more significant cause for rejoicing because not only did you come already, you will come again. Thank you, Jesus, for the promise of your light in a dark and lonely world. Help me follow you and walk in the light all my days.  In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

We all have a story to share. Mine happens to be a story of the grace and kindness of Jesus. I am a wife to a first responder, a mama to three incredible young men, a lover of words and their meanings, a storyteller, a truth-seeker, and a recovering worrier, to name a few things.
