Bible sermon on spiritual blindness

Memorise: “For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited” (Jeremiah 17:6)

Read: 2 Kings 6:8-19

Several people are blind to what will destroy them. Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death”. When a man’s eyes of understanding are blinded, he may embrace what could kill him, with the hope that it could help him.The Syrian army came after Elisha and got to Dothan. They came with full understanding and alertness but lost the same the moment the man of God asked God to make them blind. They met Elisha with their eyes wide open and told him they were looking for him, and he took them to where they could have been destroyed. The Lord will blind your enemies and those who seek to hurt you and they will be incapable of their wicked devices in Jesus’ Name.

If you cannot recognize the contracts or job openings that can cause you trouble, anguish and regret, it is because you have lost the eyes of your mind. Another type of blindness is when you cannot see good when it is coming. The ability to sense good things before they come will help you prepare to receive them.

Do you know that God can give you a sign when money is coming to you? If you have recognized the various ways God deals with you, you can tell when certain things are about to happen in your life. God still gives signs to His children. It is another type of blindness not to recognise a good thing that is imminent. The danger of this is that such things could easily be lost to the enemy.

“For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited” (Jeremiah 17:6). One thing that can blind somebody’s eyes from seeing good things that are imminent is confidence and complete dependence on man.spiritual blindness

If you trust in man, you can only see what that man is doing; you will not see what God is bringing your way. Some believers can almost accurately tell different things that will happen to them within the year. It is because they have seen them ahead. What have you seen about yourself? Do you see good things before they come to you? If you cannot see them, the devil can steal them and you won’t have any sense of loss. This accounts for several losses recorded in the Body of Christ.

Are you a victim of unknown losses? Ask for open eyes today!

Father, destroy whatever is not making me see good things coming to me and my family.
