Memorise: “Delight is not seemly for a fool; much less for a servant to have rule over princes”
(Prov 19:10)
Read: Ecclesiastes 10:5-7
“I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth” (Ecclesiastes 10:7). Solomon was the wisest man in the Old Testament. He had a simple way of communicating great truths. In today’s reading, he showed his dismay about servants ruling over princes. In Proverbs 30:21-23, he said he could not tolerate a servant ruling over those who should rule over him. God shared this sentiment with king Solomon. Revelation 1:4-6 says you have been made a king and priest to God. 1 Peter 2:9 says you are of divine royal blood.
God is sad when He sees the one He created to dominate, at the mercy of those who should be under him. Are you living up to your billing as a prince of God? Why would a prince trek while his servants ride horses? It may be that the prince does not know who he is. Hosea 4:6 says ignorance is the root cause of the destruction of God’s children. Many believers are ignorant of their Kingdom rights and privileges. Any right or benefit you do not know will be lost to the enemy.
John 8:32 says it is the truth you know that sets you free. In other words, you will remain imprisoned, limited or incapacitated in any area you do not know your rights. All your Kingdom rights are contained in the Bible. You are not doing anyone a favour by studying the Bible, except yourself.
In spite of the promise in 3 John 2, many believers do not know that God expects us to live in divine health. It took some of us considerable time to accept this Kingdom right. Quoting that we are healed by His stripes is not enough to prove that we believe in divine healing.
As long as you do not believe it, quoting it may not work for you. It took some time before some could realize the truth in Luke 1:37. Until we are driven to the wall, some believers will not believe it. Each right or privilege does not just flaunt itself at you. You have to understand what it is all about from scripture. Identify the specific passages that deal with the issue. Know the conditions attached to its manifestation. Believe it. Thank God for it.
Ask for it. Stand on it. Insist on it in the face of opposition. Adopt it as your daily life-style. Obey all the Bible principles concerning it, etc. Are you trekking instead of riding a horse? The Lord will reverse that in Jesus’ Name.
As part of your physical and spiritual exercise, do a prayer walk; praying and walking some distances regularly.
