DON’T JUST BE A FOLLOWER…

Dear God,
Please understand when some Christians want to have you to themselves, it’s because You’re so awesome. I’m sure You want us to Yourself too, You want to make us awesome people — just like You.

Sometimes, we also get so confused about what is right and what isn’t. We don’t want to follow humans precepts and be subject to ordinances because Colossians 2 : 20-23 reminds me that since I died with Christ, I’m dead to regulations of this world.

Dear God, we don’t just want to chase after people who talk about you with big words or who many people listen to. Make us sensible enough to follow you and your Word, the Bible.

According to John 16:13, Jesus says the Spirit of truth, guides us into all truth. (all truth, not half truth or some truth)

We don’t want to follow other persons that have been guided into your truth. We want to sit at your feet and let your Spirit guide us into all truth.

We want to be guided too.
We want to come to your Spirit of truth with our questions and confused emotions.

We don’t want to be tossed around like babies.

We don’t want to walk around blindly like sheeps without shepherds.

We don’t want to follow everyone with the ability to speak eloquently.

We don’t want to be a ‘yes-yes’ Christian simply because the speaker dresses well. We want to follow your Spirit of truth.

Give us the appetite to learn the truth from your Spirit of truth.
We want to be guided right.
We want to learn right.

You as a Christian can learn at God’s feet too, it’s not just entitled to Pastors and ministers.
If anyone can have God, trust me, even God wants to have you.

It hurts that most people don’t know what exactly they have with God.
The boldness.
The confidence.
May God give us understanding.

I may know so much among other Christians, but when I’m with God, I’m dumb, I’m empty and I want to be refilled.
I want new things.
When I’m with God, I crave for understanding like I’m learning afresh. With my Father, you can’t have enough. It keeps pouring, as long as you come, as long as you keep asking.

I fear the energy would even make me lose my sanity.

God is so wise, God’s Spirit is so intelligent.

Just ask, darling, ask. Don’t just follow, you can know too. Come before God, humbly, and get filled.

I love you.

God loves you even more.
