God's Purposes Prevail - A Nighttime Prayer

“From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.” – Acts 17:26 (NIV)

Please Pray:

Dear Lord, I like to control my life. But I do what I can to follow the path I believe You have prepared for me. Your providence prevails in all circumstances, and I trust You to open doors and close doors for me. As I watch the news, there are many situations that hurt my heart. I see turmoil and conflicts around the world. Then there are the floods and forest fires, hurricanes and tropical cyclones, heat waves and freezes. Lord, I pray that Your grace will touch the lives of those touched by such catastrophes. And may we Your people do what we can to alleviate pain, hunger and misery. In spite of our circumstances, I know that You are in control and I trust You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

      It’s Going to Be Okay

It was one of the worst days of my life. Tragedy struck our family in the worst way and I was emotionally paralyzed. That’s when my friend, Mary, stepped in to do what I couldn’t. She made me a hotel reservation, called the necessary people, and said, “It’s going to be okay.” “It’s going to be okay” is one of the most hope-filled sentiments I can offer to others, Read more...
