Psalm 24
- Lift up your hearts, o ye gates is a popular psalm.
- Many people have interpreted the gate in this psalm to be physical gates to doors of opportunities.
- Another interpretation we can give this verse is that God wants the gate of our heart to be lifted up so that He can come in with His glory.
- Do you want to experience the glory of God? Then lift up (open the door of) your heart to God.
- Psalm 24 vs 4 listed four qualities any man that wants to experience the glory of God should possess.
- Your hands must be clean, which means you must run away from iniquities.
- Your heart must be pure; your thoughts and the motives behind your heart must be pure.
- Do not pursue vanity; be contented and do not pursue worldliness and focus on heaven.
- Do not be deceitful.
- Psalm 24 vs 8 says if you have these qualities, God himself will come into your heart.
- And when God comes into your heart four things will happen.
- He will come with his glory.
- He will come with his strength.
- He will come with his might.
- He will come to fight your battle for deliverance, healings, and salvation.
- Psalm 24 vs 9 ended with a passionate plea, saying my sons and my daughters, open the gate of your heart.
- Jesus Christ said in the Book of Revelation 3 vs 20, that he is standing by the door of your heart, waiting to enter.
- I pray any power blocking the King of Glory from entering your heart shall be destroyed in Jesus’ name. Amen.
