Live the Pure Gold of New Jerusalem

Revelation 21:18 and 21 describe New Jerusalem: “the city was pure gold, like clear glass” and “the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass” In typology gold signifies the divine nature. The city is composed absolutely of the divine nature, the nature of God.

As believers in Christ and children of God, we all are a part of the New Jerusalem as a mountain of gold. When we were regenerated, we received the nature of God, and now we are partakers of the divine nature (2 Pet. 1:4)….We all have a part of the golden mountain, the New Jerusalem, within us. We need to realize that something within us is divine. A part of our regenerated being is “gold,” and this gold is the divine nature.*

New JerusalemRomans 7:14 says, “I am fleshy, sold under sin” and the second half of Romans 5 presents a contrast of sin and death with righteousness, grace and life. This is the great difference between the fallen human nature and the divine nature.

Christ redeemed us, we accepted His redemption, so we were both cleansed and regenerated. Now we are partakers of the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). It is by partaking of this nature that we escape the corruption in the world due to the fallen nature of man. This is to partake of the nature of New Jerusalem, the golden nature.
