Prayer and Confession of repentance

Luke1:75

Ø In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life

Ø For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and wordly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world -Titus 2:12

Ø He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he that is filthy, let him be fillthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy stillRev. 22:11

Ø Follow peace with all men, and holiness without which no man shall see God -Hebrews 12:14

There is a central theme in all the passages quoted above, and that theme is the need for Christians to live in holiness and righteousness. The main obligation of being a Christian is being christlike.

Millions of people are nominal Christians. The litmus test of knowning whether one is truly a Christian or not is the extent to which one obeys the word of God.

That you go to church every Sunday and attend mid week services do not make you a Christian. Giving tithes and offerings alone also do not make you a Christian. The Bible is so clear on the qualities of a Christian, and this is simply living in holiness and righteousness.

Are you involved in any act of unholiness or unrighteousness such as lying, cheating, drunkeness, sexual immorality, pride, and anger? Now is the time to turn a new leaf and become a Christian in deed and in truth. If you have not been living a holy life deserving of a good Christian, you can repent of your sins and come back to God. Say this simple

prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and have fallen short of your glory. I genuinely repent from all my sins and pledge to go and sin no more. I accept your plan to reconcile mankind to you through Jesus Christ, who you sent in your name.

I believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, and died on the Cross-to pay the penalty for my sins and redeem me. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I pray that His blood wash my sins away. I invite the Holy Spirit to rule my Life.

I am born again in Jesus name. If you want more information on how you can build a new life with God, visit Save the World at http://www.christonline.info or send an email to: info@christonline.info.
