Return to God's Love from Your Discouraged State - Raising Zion

Your discouraged state

Why is your soul anxious and full of unbelief? Is there none who understands you? Why do you look for safety in a man like the children of the world?

Has your loving Heavenly Father done nothing for you? Has He not been your great God? Why do you still feel dismayed or discouraged, dear child?

God tested Israel, His children, in the wilderness journey. For 40 years, almost all of Israel grieved God with their unbelief. Was He there for them? He was right in front of their eyes (Psalms 95:9). Israel saw the mighty works of God in those forty years. They received manna directly from heaven daily as well. God was before them as the pillar of fire and cloud.

But they hardened their hearts. They let fear and a convenient lifestyle take over their lives. They did not regard God in their heart nor acknowledged His ways.

How to return to God’s love from your discouraged state?

Dear brother, sister. Let’s sing and shout joyfully in praise and thanksgiving to God. He is a great God. He is above all!

Today, if you are reading this, turn to God from your poor understanding of God’s love. He loves you and will never leave you nor forsake you.

Admit your state before Him. Tell Him everything you cannot tell anyone. Repent sincerely. He will make all things new. His mercies are new every morning. Be refreshed and renewed in His everlasting love.

Guard your heart against evil. Give God the due glory and praise.

“O come, let us worship and bow down, Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker [in reverent praise and prayer]. For He is our God And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice,”

Psalms 95:6-7

Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!
