The Fruit of Patience in a Winter Season — A Nighttime Prayer

“Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.” -- James 5:7-8 (ESV)

Please Pray:

Trustworthy Father,

Thank you for pursuing me with the patience, longsuffering, and love of a Faithful Father when I stray and struggle to surrender my will. I’m so grateful that by abiding in You, I can flourish with the fruits of the Spirit by Your power—not my own strength. Help me stay connected with You when it feels like I’m in a long winter season and not producing fruit that I can see. I pray for peace to rest in Your promises, trusting that You are doing the unseen work that will produce a fruitful harvest in Your timing. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
