What Dads Do Best - A Nighttime Prayer

1x
The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.” – Deuteronomy 1:30–31 (NKJV)

Please Pray:

A Prayer For Dads to Pray: God my Father, loving Creator, teach me how to be a godly father to my children. Let me learn from the example of Your Son’s love. Make me wise, sacrificial, and compassionate, that I may teach them Your truth and Your ways. Every day, as I face my tasks and responsibilities, give me a cheerful attitude in thankfulness because this role helps provide for my children’s needs. As I battle against Satan’s temptations, give me strength to withstand the attacks. Let me run to You as my refuge in the storms, and give me Your leadership in being the protector for my family. Grant me opportunities to be kind to their mother, to be patient with my children’s immaturity, and to be joyful in all circumstances. Help me to trust in You and Your plans for their future. Please, Jesus, be Savior and Shepherd to my children, and grant them eternal life with You in heaven, that we may sing together in eternal praise to You. In Your name and for Your glory, Amen.
