3 Ways To Receive Sound Counsel From God - Raising Zion

sound counsel

Most young church-born believers are like, I know it all, I can handle this alone. Until they begin cracking up. Many youth fall into the lure of music and do not build their life on sound doctrine. Music Or Ministry in some form becomes life rather than obedience to Jesus.

What is missing in life? Sound counsel. Wisdom, not of this world, but from above.

How to get sound counsel?

Three ways every believer can access sound counsel from God is;

In His presence, you will get a direction for life (Acts 10:19) (2 Corinthians 12:1)

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Psalms 16:11

Prayer is a believer’s superpower. Ask in prayer, don’t give up or doubt when seeking wisdom from above (James 3:17) (Psalms 106:13)

 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

James 1:5

Build your life on Jesus and apostolic foundations. Pray, meditate, and listen to your spiritual elders. We do not belong to this earth. We belong to heaven.

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Ephesians 2:19,20

God is always available for those who call out to Him. A sincere commitment to restoration will see your heart transformed. God loves His children and has His eyes set on their complete deliverance.

What we get free, we often take for granted. We tend to believe we know it all because we’ve done things routinely. When the heart is missing in what’s routine, we begin to lose interest.

We are hearty beings.

Guard your heart by keeping Jesus in.

Maranatha, Praise the Lord.

    An Inspired Challenge for Wives This Father's Day - Today Can Be Different

    Consider asking your husband how you can pray for him each day. (If the father of your children doesn’t live with you, for whatever reason, remember to put him on your prayer list too.) Your husband wants nothing more than to succeed, but he probably struggles with issues he’s afraid to admit, even to himself. He may feel insecure about being a dad, especially if he didn’t have the benefit of a good role model. Or maybe he feels more like an understudy because he’s “only” a stepdad.
