A Resolution to Renew - A Nighttime Prayer
“Be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and ... put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.” – Ephesians 4:23-24 (NKJV)
Please Pray:
Jesus, I raise my hands to You in a prayer of petition for You to be with me all through the new year. I come before you in humility, recognizing that I can’t make any plans without You. I need Your spiritual renewal and growth—only You can make that happen. Please send me Your Holy Spirit to comfort, guide, and strengthen my resolve to serve Your kingdom. Convict me of my sins, and then show me how to repent and change. Change my motives so that I become less selfish and more selfless. Go before me, to defeat my enemies so that I may not be hindered in my servanthood. Teach me to “be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer” as Your word instructs me. Fill me up with Your Spirit’s love, and grant me grace to share it with everyone else this year. In Your glorious Name, Amen.
