With numerous changes in the world, how can we adapt to all these things without losing hope?

They say that the only constant thing in the world is change. Yet, not all of us are ready to respond to change positively. In all aspects of life, we would not learn how to be flexible in all the transformation, development, and changes going on. We might be left behind.

Inspirational Quotes About Change

Here are some inspirational quotes about change that could motivate us to keep going despite dealing with something new.

Life gets better through change

“Your life does not get better by chance. It gets better by change.”

Jim Rohn

Our life should not be dependent on luck. Instead, we should be determined to change something in our lives to make it better. If we want our lives to improve, we should be willing to change ourselves, such as our behavior and mindset.

Moreover, waiting for luck is like waiting for a coconut to fall down, and then suddenly, it would have an instant straw for you to drink. Get up and work hard; that is the change we all need to attain our goals.

Change starts within himself

Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”

Leo Tolstoy

We all want to make the world better through change. Yet, sometimes we are too focused on turning the laws and the government around without evaluating ourselves.

Change should start within us. Big things come from small things. If we want to see a better world, it begins in us as individuals and at home. How are you at home?

Are you making your home a better place to live? Because if you are, then we could possibly improve the world.

Change is the law of life

“Change is the law of life, and those who look only to the past and present are certain to miss the future.”

John F. Kennedy

Kennedy emphasized that change is already a part of life. However, those who are only focused on what happened to them and what is happening to them will never see the future.

We should not dwell in the past because it is finished. We could not go back in time and change all our decisions. Maybe you had cheated on your spouse or did something wrong in your marriage. But you can never undone what happened.

Nevertheless, you can try to make things up to see a better tomorrow. If you are in a hopeless marriage, you could kneel and pray right now so God can help you.

Moreover, change is not about dwelling in the past but taking action today to have a better outcome in the future.

Remember that you are a new creation when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. The old has gone, and the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Change is not comfortable

“Those who expect moments of change to be comfortable and free of conflict have not learned their history.”

Joan Wallach Scott

Change is never easy because you would try to unlearn or try new things to make it work. Getting out of our comfort zone is challenging because we must adapt to difficulties.

As you begin to come out of your comfort zone, you cannot expect that it will be beds of roses. The beginning of change is always the hardest. You would have to face issues and conflicts because they contradict your culture or belief.

For instance, going to church for the first time. You felt their warm welcome and decided to become a part of it. The more you discover their culture, the more complicated would it be for you. The pastors and church leaders would talk about things contrary to your belief.

Thus, it still depends on whether you are willing to humble before the Lord and listen to His commands.

Unconditional Acceptance

“Of course, there is no formula for success except, perhaps, an unconditional acceptance of life and what it brings.”

Arthur Rubinstein

There is no particular way of becoming successful other than accepting changes continuously in life. There is no single day that is ultimately the same with the other. Every day is a change that we have to learn to adapt to.

In addition, successful people accept change but do something to be flexible amidst what is happening. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, people worldwide do not have a choice but to accept all changes happening. From restricting orders to isolating ourselves.

More so, those who adopted the changes amidst the pandemic found themselves successful in other fields. Some office workers would never know they could be good chefs and start their own food businesses if they did not accept the changes.

Furthermore, many people discovered new hobbies during the lockdown and were satisfied. To become happy in life is to always be open to change.

Change about trying the risk

“When it feels scary to jump, that’s exactly WHEN you jump. Otherwise, you end up staying in the same place your whole life. And that I can’t do.”

Oscar Isaacs

Sometimes it is not like we do not want the change to happen; it is just that we are afraid of losing something when we try. But you will never know the result if you do not try.

Feeling scared of trying something new is normal. Yet, dwelling on our fears could allow opportunities to pass our way. One of my mentors told me that when someone has given you a great opportunity, just grab it and learn it after.

Besides, we are sometimes afraid to try because we do not have enough knowledge about it. For instance, we fear our friends might not accept us if we go to church.

Thus, if you take the risk and continue going to church, you will discover that your validation only comes from God and not other people. Just take the step regardless of your fears, and you will see that you will never be stagnant in where you are.

Ability to Change

“The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.”

Albert Einstein

Wise people are willing to learn and change what they have learned for the better. Regardless of how much you know, if you are unwilling to adapt to it, everything will be meaningless.

Moreover, those who are willing to be flexible to change are those who can learn new things for them to be successful.

Life is all about changes; some things applicable in the past could not be suitable in the present or future. But, those who keep on adjusting to changes are the ones who are successful enough to overcome the progress and transformation of the world.

God will always sustain you in every change and stage in your life. He will be there when you get married, become first-time parents, or as you build your new career.
