In Mammon they trust! - Divorce Minister
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
-Matthew 6:24, KJV
24 “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.”
-Matthew 6:24, NLT
They are upset about not getting more money or wealth extracted from their spouse. So, they decided to discard that spouse and look elsewhere. Their own vows be damned.
This is why the divorce can get especially acrimonious. A faithful spouse might DARE to claim equitable distribution of assets. Cheaters take this like touching their god… HOW DARE YOU?!!
Divorcing such Cheaters is ultimately a good thing for the faithful spouse. Money is a jealous god that will continue to enslave and break your Cheater. It is best not to be around them during this breaking process.
