It Didn't Come Through the Front Door - A Nighttime Prayer

Be sober-minded, be alert. Your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour. – 1 Peter 5:8 (CSB)

Please Pray:

Lord, You have warned me that my enemy is prowling and reminded me to stay alert. Help me do that. Please examine my heart and home and reveal any opening I have failed to notice — any compromise I have rationalized or excused. Show me the root of any bitterness in me, or any habit that is pulling me away from You.

I trust that when I ask, You are faithful to show me and help me close it. When You reveal an opening, give me the desire and humility to confess it and repent, the wisdom to act, and the strength to obey You.

I want to rely on Your Word, be faithful to pray, seek wise counsel, and walk each day in the power of the Holy Spirit,

Give me eyes and discernment to see the danger and equip me so that I do not fear spiritual warfare. You are my protector, bigger than my adversary. In Jesus’ powerful Name, Amen.
