Making Advent Personal: A Nighttime Prayer

1x
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders, And he will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. -- Isaiah 9:6

Please pray:

Heavenly Father, help me to walk out this Advent season with hope, peace, joy, and love ever on my mind. I want to make this season about remembering the birth of your son Jesus and the hope we have in Him now and in the time to come, not about the commercial pressures and interpersonal drama that can so easily entangle us this time of year. Guide me in all Your ways and empower me to make Godly choices with time, money, and conversations this Advent season. Most of all, thank you for the gift of Jesus, our salvation and Prince of Peace. In His name, Amen.
