New Jerusalem: Dwell in the Triune God

In the New Jerusalem we shall dwell in the processed and consummated Triune God as the temple. Revelation 21:22 says, “I saw no temple in it, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb.” This indicates that the processed Triune God will be the holy city as the temple, which will be the eternal dwelling of all His redeemed people, where they will live with Him and serve Him.*

New JerusalemToday our position is in the Triune God by being in Christ, as in 1 Corinthians 1:30. The Lord spoke of this in John 15, saying “Abide in Me and I in you” (v. 4). This is part of His prayer in John 17, “You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us” (v. 21).

Now that we have the position, we exercise in spirit to have the experience, to live in Him, to walk in Him. This is Romans 8:4 and Galatians 5:16, 25. One side is to exercise to live in spirit, the other side is to deny the self (Luke 9:23) and by the indwelling Spirit to apply the death of Christ to our natural living (Rom. 8:13).

All of this will bring us to dwelling in the Triune God one hundred percent of the time in New Jerusalem.
