Prayer of Power - 2 Timothy 1:7 - Divorce Minister

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

-2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV

What I have found dealing with anxiety and fear is that this verse has power!

I recite 2 Timothy 1:7 over and over again in my mind as prayer when I feel myself getting consumed with fear and anxiety. And the verse serves as a spiritual sword cutting through the bonds of the Evil One setting my heart free.

It serves as a reminder to me as well.

God has not saved and redeemed me to leave me cowering in the corner passively taking blows from the Evil One. Rather God has made me into a man of power. That is the spirit He has imparted in me!

So, next time you find yourself spiraling down into a cowering position filled with anxiety over the “what if’s,” I recommend taking up this verse and fighting back.

Make it your battle prayer and “watch” as the Enemy flees!

God Is Still Writing Your Story

We are all going to have good chapters and bad chapters. We’re going to have times when we think, I do not like this story and other times we think, I do like this story. The key is to not get stuck in life’s difficult chapters but keep moving to the flow of the Author’s pen. God is still writing your story.Father, some chapters of my story that are so difficult. However, I know You can use all the broken pieces to make a magnificent masterpiece. Help me not get stuck in a bad chapter due to disappointment or discouragement, but to keep moving forward, knowing there is more to be written. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.Where are you right now?
