✨The favor of God ✨

Wait hold up…that’s IT? And what does it mean?

👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

The world will tell you you need experience, titles, followers or whatever else to have a successful and purposeful business (or life!) but that just ain’t the truth.

It’s not a bad thing if you have those things…having positions, followers or experts to help you along the way are all great things that are blessings from God.

This is just a simple reminder that you don’t NEED those things,

all you need is God’s calling on your life & He will accomplish the rest…sometimes in ways that make sense to us, and sometimes in ways that don’t. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Remember–"the One who calls you is faithful and HE will do it." 1 Thessalonians 5:24

God gives us FAVOR. And His favor is ALL you need to thrive in your life, your current assignment and in your calling.

“The Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” Psalm 84:11

Let's rewind a bit…what is God's favor?

I remember when someone in my life frequently used the word "favor" and I was honestly confused by it. I didn't think God was the type of Father who "played favorites" like a bad soccer coach would in middle school, so what did it mean to have God's favor on my life?

God's favor can be described many different ways and I personally love that it feels a little bit mysterious to me still. I think God's favor is so profound and fascinating that no definition seems to fully describe it.

A good starting place is by describing God's favor as His grace or His kindness. God's divine ability to continually respond to us with compassion and to gift us eternal life is His favor.

If you know God and you seek to know Him, you are already favored because you have received eternal life.

We can also pray to God and ask for His favor in certain situations and circumstances in our lives. When you experience God's favor, you experience God's kindness and His unique and miraculous ability to overcome a situation that is outside of your own resources and understanding.

We recognize God's favor on other people's lives when we see the ability and grace God has given them to extend beyond what they have capacity for on their own.

Christianity.com puts it this way, "the most remarkable section in this entire song must be the last line of verse 19, “He delivered me because He delighted in me.”

The only reason we can personally experience God’s favor, or as the more contemporary song writer put it, God’s “amazing” grace, is because He delights in us. God’s favor is totally and unequivocally undeserved and unmerited. There is nothing we can do to earn or merit his favor."

You are "highly favored" (Luke 1:28) because you have received God's grace and because He loves and delights in you. The secret to success and purpose in your calling, your current assignment or position, and in your life is simply the presence and favor of God. He will carry you beyond what you thought was possible because He delights in you.

How would you define the favor of God? Is this concept new to you?
