When does anxiety end?

No one wants to be anxious for the rest of their lives. But have you ever wondered when does it stop?

We only have one life, but imagine how much time we spend on our anxieties. It has been a long, tiring journey of fear of what’s about to come and how we can face all these struggles.

Regardless of where we are now in our journey, anxiety can happen to everyone. We could be anxious about our marriage, children’s future, career, etc.

So, when does anxiety end?

The song “Worry Ends When Faith Begins,” by the Blythe Family, speaks about how we can end our worries- it is when we begin to have faith in God.

Genuine and robust faith will help us end our anxieties

The song says that worry ends when we put it in God’s hands. Sometimes, the more we take control, instead of solving our problems or lessening our burden, the heavier it becomes.

There are also moments when we give it all to Him, and then we get tired or impatient with waiting. When this happens, we try to make things on our own and then become anxious again when we arrive at the dead end of not knowing what to do next.

We have so many questions and even sleepless nights because of our anxiety, yet when we lay them all to Jesus Christ and just let Him work to carry our yoke, then we can feel at peace despite all our pains and struggles.

In Matthew 11:8-30 Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Just thinking about when our anxieties end is so tiring. When we are tired, we cannot function effectively, hindering us from rejoicing amidst trials. But Jesus Christ told Himself that we could come to Him, all weary and burdened, and He will give us rest.

Rest means we do not have to think or do anything; just lay down and trust the Lord of His faithfulness. Jesus said we could take His yoke, which is light, to carry and find rest for our souls– and that is when anxiety ends.

We must stop asking when our worries will end, but instead, we must decide to end it now and start having faith in the Lord. Our life here on earth is short. Shorter than we think.

Thus, when we worry or become anxious, we waste our time instead of focusing on what matters most: our connection with God and others. All these matter is affected when we let our anxiety devour us.

Matthew 6:25-27 says, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow, reap, or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.

Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any of you, by worrying, add a single hour to your life ?”

You are more valuable than the birds that even God the Father has sacrificed His only son to the point of death just to save you from oppression. If He could do that greatest sacrifice, He could turn your situation upside down. You just have to believe so your anxieties will end.

An Inspired Challenge for Wives This Father's Day - Today Can Be Different

Consider asking your husband how you can pray for him each day. (If the father of your children doesn’t live with you, for whatever reason, remember to put him on your prayer list too.) Your husband wants nothing more than to succeed, but he probably struggles with issues he’s afraid to admit, even to himself. He may feel insecure about being a dad, especially if he didn’t have the benefit of a good role model. Or maybe he feels more like an understudy because he’s “only” a stepdad.
