Your Loving Kindness Is Better Than Life! - Raising Zion

For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth. Psalms‬ ‭26:3‬

God’s loving kindness was always before David’s eyes. He loved God with his heart and also feared God in a positive way. Yet in verse 2 he is asking the Lord to examine him and to prove him, to try his heart and mind, his desires and thoughts – because he did not want to grieve His Master in any way. God loved David dearly too and kept him surrounded with His loving kindness. The Lord God delights in exercising His loving kindness upon His people ❤️

How does God exercise His loving kindness towards us?

By crowning us with tender mercies daily. Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Psalms‬ ‭103:4‬. As children of God, we must always be ready to share God’s loving kindness with those who are deprived of it, just as we have received it from Him. St.Paul uses the word tender-hearted when referring to loving kindness. However, Jeremiah the prophet quotes God as saying… therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Jeremiah 31:3.

Why has God drawn us with loving kindness?

So that we love one another from a pure heart as He loved us. Now that by your obedience to the truth you have purified yourselves and have come to have a sincere love for your fellow-believers, love one another earnestly with all your heart. 1 Peter‬ ‭1:22‬. Remember you are a king 👑 because He has crowned you with His lovingkindness. Therefore, only love and NO bitterness or hatred or anger should find place in our heart.

We are people waiting to be caught up at the Coming of Jesus and for this mercy and grace is required. Jude 21, 1 Peter 1:13. We are preserved in His lovingkindness — our weapon of defense.

May the Lord help us to be kept in His loving kindness until the day of Christ! ❤️
